DIY : Jake Adventure Time Papercraft + My Toys Collection

Every time I go to the mall, I always spend a little time to visit a toys store. I do not know why I am doing this, but I really like it. It makes me feel happy enough to whenever I see all of the action figures and toys even I do not buy anything there. Sometimes, I spend my money for legos. It's quite cheap and need simple installation (I like to going through installation process, it makes me more appreciate the result), which is better than action figures in my opinion. As you know, I really like Iron Man. So I start to collect Iron Man legos from 2015 and these are my collection :

And, I am still looking forward for adding more to my collection, maybe Stroomtroopers lego later ;P

My birthday gift last year from one of my friends :D I named him, "Kid" because he looks very cute like a little kid

I send this picture to my mom for the celebration of Mother's Day last year. Kid acting mom.

Another properties that I bought besides lego! This is my room door's security guard with his fierce face, sometimes I like to change his style according to the season or celebration :D So, everyone that see him will celebrate & be cheerful. Actually, I buy 2 Iron Man mask. One for my apartment room's door in Malaysia and one more for decorating my room in Indonesia. Long-distance twins that separated. :')

So, basically I like to collecting action figures but do not want to waste a lot of money because of that. Do you know the craziest thing that I almost done last year? That time, I really wanted to buy this Iron Man lamp below. Once I saw it on a toys store in Pavillion KL, I directly planned to buy it a week later. It's really cool for me, his eyes can emit rays.

But, sadly when I came to that store again the salesperson said that this Iron Man lamp was already out of stock. I was so disappointed and tried to find it on another store. I went to every mall's toy stores in KL just for find this little crap, but still cannot found it. It's failed and someone suggest me to buy that lamp online. I did search it, but after that I was not really confident to buy it online. I never done it before. So, I questioned myself, "Do I really need this thing?". And suddenly I remembered one of my friends ever said to me "I believe that every things belong to someone. If it's gone or lose, I know that the thing is not belong to me." So I determined to stop this suck hunting.

If I think back about that now, maybe it will be the most stupid action that I took if last time I successfully bought it. God! It's for RM300 and I still wanted to buy it! :O What's wrong with my mind that time??

So, basically I like to collecting toys but do not want to waste a lot of money because of that. I am understand that it is not worth it for spending a lot, especially just for a display. For me, it's only a short-time happiness while I can bring it home. I believe there must be a time when I realise that I cannot do nothing with that thing and get bored.

To overcome this, I find another way so I can still collecting my favorite characters display without spending a lot of money. I tried to make Jake's papercraft and I like the result. :)

  

I download this papercraft template on : cubeecraft.com and I only spend RM1 to print it with color. Just it! Then I can start to work on my favorite characters from the head to the toe. Can you imagine how much that I should spend to buy an action figures? A lot!

All that you need to make this cute papercraft are just : the printed template, scissors, cutter, glue (additional), and an old newspaper for covering your work table from scratches. Below are the pictures of how I work with Jake's papercraft, everyone can do it because it is very simple:

1. Cut the outline with scissors

2. Cut the white line with cutter

3. Fold the alphabetic black part

4. Fold the black lines as well and glue the black alphabetic parts if you want the more solid result. 

5. After folding and glue-ing result

6. Putting the arm onto Jake's body

7. Jake is ready to be display in your study table or anywhere you like :D

DIY Cartoon Bookmarks

Recently my brain cannot stop thinking about art, so I am looking for some inspiration from internet and then straightly do it. I feel like back to my childhood where I was so into art. Well, this is what I called art and I am proud of my masterpiece :D Everyone have their own perception about art anyway. I believe everyday we are doing art although we are not noticing it. By the way, this is my first DIY crafts tutorial which is "Carton Bookmarks". I drew cartoon version of the characters that I like. Actually, the basic materials for this DIY is stick. But, this morning I used a piece of hard carton instead because suddenly I found it at my mom's factory.

These are the materials that I used for making the Cartoon Bookmarks :

THE STEPS for making Iron Man bookmarks :
1. Cut your unused hard cartoon into sticks.

2. Stand by your red & yellow paint and also the brush, GET READY for coloring & dirty hands! :D If you want to avoid some dirt, you can use plastic hand gloves to cover your hands.   

3. I use correction pen for me to draw the eye and the arc reactor part, you also can use white paint if you want.

4. Draw the black outline with black pen

5. Every artwork should have a sign. This is mine. Make your own :D

VOILA! Iron Man bookmark is ready to use. Make sure the paint is already dry so it will not ruin your favorite book

So, if you find any unused hard cartoon you can simply make this Cartoon Bookmarks. By doing this DIY you also practicing REUSE :D You can make it your favorite characters or try the characters example above. Hope you like it & good luck with yours!

Sheryl's 2015 Resolutions

Eaaa seperti biasa ya saudara-saudara, bikin resolusi dan me review resolusi adalah ritual akhir tahunan yang udah gue jalankan turun-temurun selama 3 tahun ini...Kadang suka mau bilang "waw" pas resolusi gue yang ga mungkin tiba-tiba jadi kenyataan, kadang juga suka ngakak ironis kalau resolusi gue yang konyol ternyata belom kesampean juga (kayak mau kurus contohnya, sampai kulit manggis gaada ekstraknya juga belum jadi-jadi kurusnya yah. Padahal gue pikir gampang-gampang aja tinggal turunin 5 kg DOANG).

Tapi dengan buat resolusi gue jadi tau sih hal-hal apa yang jadi target gue di tahun selanjutnya dan terus dorong diri gue sampai gue bisa sampai ke target. Bikin resolusi juga kalo bisa sih harus jelas yah, gabisa sekedar general statement kayak "Gue mau jadi anak yang soleha" dan pastinya tentang hal-hal yang emang memiliki potensi buat didapetin sama diri sendiri. Lo harus mengeluarkan kemampuan berpikir visioner, bayangkan diri lo lagi ngapain aja di taun depan, tumpahin semua misi-misi terbesar lo yang belom kesampean. Okey dream big boleh sih bro, tapi jangan kejauhan yah kayak "Mau punya Lamborghini emas kayak Syahrini", "Mengalahkan seekor naga emas" (di Indosiar aja yah), atau nikah sama Kim Bum taun depan (soalnya doi udah ngelamar gue kemaren dalam mimpi). Kenapa ga boleh ngayal kejauhan? Jawaban paling ilmiah yang dapat menjawab pertanyaan ini adalah : Soalnya entar kalo gak kesampean sakitnya tuh disini nih. Sekali lagi! Disini nihhhhh *tunjuk hati*

Oke gitu aja sih tentang resolusi akhir tahun dari gue. HAPPY NEW YEAR 2015! Semoga di tahun 2015 makin serius jalanin resolusi dan banyak jalan yang dibukain buat mencapai nya :D By the way, apa resolusi lo buat taun 2015?

2. LULUS UN dengan nilai Matematika dan Geografi yang mencengangkan. Di rapot nih, nilai Geografi gue udah ampir cumlaude, tapi kalo Matematika tau sendiri sih mirisnya gimana. Nah, giliran pas dapet ijazah gue bengong, ko nilai Matematika gue 84? Terus ini kenapa geografi jadi 54? Dunia akherat kebalik

3. Gue dapet juara umum 2 pas pelepasan, agak ngiri sih piala nya cuman satu. But, I feel like I’m in the peak of world that day! Nvm!

4. Yeeeee gue study abroad ke negeri Upin Ipin..Too much experience that challenges me to become more brave! Tuhan banyak ngabulin doa-doa gue taun ini! Thank God!

5. Sebelum berangkat study abroad gue nge-pack in satu kotak novel Glam Girls yang gue koleksi dari first edition sampe final + buku-buku pelajaran gue. Sebenernya  sekalian dititipin juga sih biar koleksi novel kesayangan gue ini gak cuman dimasukkin ke gudang terus rusak, yah at least bisa dibaca lagi sama orang. Or who knows I come back again to read there someday?

6. Inggris gue Improve enough sih. Nambah vocab dan jadi lebih berani speak up kalo lagi bareng orang asing.
